HELP US SUPPORTING HIGH LEVEL RESEARCH IN NANOSCIENCES

To achieve its missions, the Foundation supports several kinds of projects:

• Chairs of Excellence :

Our aim is to recruit high-level scientists of any nationaility and re-locate them to Grenoble. The Foundation provides leading scientists with funding to create their own research team ( by employing PhD. students and post-docs), and buy any required equipment.

You can have a look at the scientists presently enrolled on a Chair of Excellence or at the Ph.D. students employed by the Foundation.

• RTRA projects :

Financial support is awarded to particularly innovative research projects that foster cooperative research between the network's laboratories

• Technological platforms:

The foundation sustains the development of several technological platforms in Grenoble, which offer up-to-date facilities for nanoscale fabrication, synthesis, characterization, modeling and computation, as well as training courses available to all qualified users from the network's laboratories.

• Ph.D. grants

All along the year, the Foundation also provides Ph.D. grants to top-level students identified as promising scientists in one of the 32 laboratories of the network.  

• International Schools colaborations

The Foundation also finances some programs for high-level international schools, located in Grenoble, that provide state-of-the-art education in Nanosciences:

- the European School on Nanosciences and Nanotechnologies (ESONN)

- the Higher European Research Course for Users of Large Experimental Systems (HERCULES)

• International and national events focused on Nanosciences
